Results of Nov. Boxing Show

Uppercut Gym will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 22nd and Friday the 23rd.  The gym will be open Saturday with regular scheduled classes.

Results of November 3rd Boxing Show

Teen Boxers Ruggeri Sanchez, Devon Allen, and Chandler Allyn had victories at the November Show.  Ruggeri and Chandler won with 5-0 decision. Devon won by RSC (referee stop contest) in the 2nd rounds after giving a right body hook to his opponent.

Ben Minerich who fought under Uppercut had a close fight with his Canadian Opponent.  Decision to Canada.  Brent Anderson had a great fight with Matt Morgan from Canada and lost to decision.  Trenton McNutt was defeated by Canada in the 165 lbs. division.

Well done to all the boxers!

Steve McComas and John Bautch will be boxing under the master division and Ruggeri Sanchez in the junior division at Uppercut Gym December 15th.

World Golden Gloves Tournament

November 16th and 17th marked the first World Golden Gloves Tournament held at Hinckley Grand Casino.  Friday night hosted 22 bouts from the USA, Great Britian, Puerto Rico and Ireland in the Semi-Finals.  The winners advanced to the finals on Saturday.
